Important freedom issues-comments welcome. by ~keithdraws on deviantART

Well first off I moved to Texas and Wendy and I got married. :D
We are very happy.

Second, some one has taken to reporting paintings in my gallery that they find offensive. Up to now two paintings have been removed.
I have somethings to say about this.

1.They are paintings, not photo’s… not real so WTF?

2.To whoever you are that is reporting this stuff, I am sad for you, Why didn’t you message me about them, before reporting them? We could have talked about this. I mean did you even understand that the first image you got removed (Technological EvoluTron.) was actually a protest against the sexual objectification of women. In that image I was very careful to not show any explicit sexual activity but rather to simply imply it, I don’t even show a nipple - so the explicit pornography you witnessed and complained about actually came from your own mind. It was designed to make people think about how women are treated as sexual toys rather than human beings by the media and to question that idea. The image was also posted elsewhere without the headline. In fact its still here: [link]
Again please note that there is no detail showing actual sexual activity, simply an implication. The sexuality is all in your own mind. Now why not go ahead and report this image too, but this time be honest and tell the deviant staff the  image  triggers offensive sexual ideas within your mind (though it may not do that to others) and that your own sexual repression makes it offensive to you, though not to the vast majority of people who looked at it. Try being honest.

The second image is of my wife. We discussed it after I completed it and decided we both wanted to share it with anybody who wanted to look. It was labeled as mature content and called “Wendy in Ecstasy” so  what exactly did you expect to see? You browse my gallery looking at images that you know will be sexual in some form and then you get upset? Seriously? That’s like beating yourself with a stick and then getting surprised when it hurts. If you don’t like sexual imagery don’t look at it.  But more importantly stop thinking you are the moral compass for the rest of us. I do not do it to you so don’t do it to me.
People like you end up  burning books and destroying freedom so I suggest you visit a therapist before you harm somebody or yourself. While I respect you have a right to an opinion, what makes you think you can force it on everybody else?
I also so suggest you message me and talk to me about this, but I suspect you’re two cowardly to do that.

3.  Deviant  staff: These images have been up for a long time and have been enjoyed by many people and the small minded selfishness of one person has now removed that pleasure for many people. Censorship of images like these is utterly unnecessary and in fact ridiculous. Why didn’t you just tell that person to stop looking at the paintings  rather than removing them. If my work is so offensive to them you could have recommended they block me. When did Deviant staff become the Taliban? To to take the default position of siding with the complaint is pathetic. I haven’t bothered messaging you because…  well I don’t think you would listen, since I’ve seen this happen to many others on here.

4. Watchers:
If you want to help stop this kind of activity please complain to deviant about this ridiculous censorship. I’d love to hear your point of view too.

I wish you Peace and Freedom :D..
